Mountain Parks Signage (Comment)

From Anne, Denver County, August 19, 2008:

We try to use some of the mountain parks with our grandchildren. The signage is totally inadequate. We get lost; we can't find an area we are looking for; we don't understand what is park (where we are welcome) or what is private, etc. The websites are adequate, but once we get there, we feel lost, etc.

Thanks for asking.
From Susan Baird, Natural Resources Planner:

Thank you so much for taking the time to send us these comments. We agree with you, and we know that years of inadequate funding have left Denver Mountain Parks without maps, good signage, clear boundary markers, and other amenities. The recently completed Draft Master Plan strongly recommends improving these important amenities for visitors, and we hope to have maps and better signage within the next year or so.
